Almaty is the largest city in Kazakhstan and is the business center of the country. Almaty has a spectacular mountain backdrop with its deep history of being the old capital. Join us as we work alongside Bible Mission International and Bible Institute to share the love of Christ. God has opened the doors for teams to go into orphanages, detention centers, conservatories for music and work with the local churches through camps for the handicapped, blind and deaf.

Mission Trip Report - July 2013
We were able to work in Taldy-Korgan for 4 days, painting the walls, benches and ceilings. We decorated the children's room , varnished the windows and built a swing set. The Pastors questioned the swing set but once done, children stood in line for 4 hours taking turns swinging. We met with over 200 people(Sunday afternoon-non believers and Monday afternoon, believers) fitting them with reading glasses. Gave them a New Testament and tract in their language, either Russian or Kazak. Had them read John 3:16. Could have done it all day watching the reaction of people able to see. We also invited them to tea and cookies on Tuesday evening. Tuesday evening was a huge hit getting to share why we were there and Pastor Denis and Alexander spoke.
Wednesday back in Almaty, we worked with the English Club and then on Thursday we went to Azoonagosh and met with an amazing young Pastor and the visions that he is implementing in this city. We helped with finishing cement on a chicken coop, varnished plywood for the future out door kitchen and started the swing set. Pastor Sergei, wife Svetlana, two daughters and son on the way, feed over 50 Kurd children once a week and help clothe them. He is starting camps, has a garden and soon chickens to hopefully feed them more than once a week. His passion and the congregation are making it all happen. Very exciting for all of us to be a part of and looking forward to working with them in the future.
Great trip and great team that worked long and hard days.
