True instruction was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found on his lips: he walked with Me in peace and uprightness, and he turned many back from iniquity.

Pastoral Team

The Pastoral Ministries office serves in a variety of areas. Our vision is to make disciples of Jesus Christ while sharing the Good News with people in our community and throughout the globe. Our mission is to make visits, offer prayer, comfort, and encouragement to those in need while lending godly counsel and support. We also offer different ministry training to those who need it.

Our Deacon Ministry provides a godly service of love and compassion to our church family and community in many capacities.

Our Widow Ministry offers compassionate support to those who are grieving while assisting them in coping with their loss. This ministry enables them to experience a close fellowship with other widows.

Here at Olive, our office serves as an extension center of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. We provide a learning environment to men and women from surrounding cities who study diligently toward obtaining a masters degree in Divinity. As each one desires to follow the calling of God, their study of the Bible is enhanced by learning Greek and Hebrew. This knowledge will enable them to more accurately understand and interpret God’s Word.
