"Abide in Christ" with Jan Langford. Imagine choosing to live each day of your life in utter poverty, with no money and no contact with friends and relatives—and all the while, loved ones and an enormous inheritance with your name on it are at your disposal. As amazing as it sounds, that’s where many Christians find themselves today—living in an unnecessary state of self-imposed spiritual poverty. Question is, are you tapping into the life-sustaining riches Christ offers and provides? Childcare will be provided.

Confronting Our Modern Day Idols
January 15 - March 26, 2014
6:00-7:00pm in room 4204
Led by Krista Henry & Lisa Taylor
In this Bible study, Kelly encourages women to make room for God by dethroning the functional gods that clutter and claim their lives. These Gods are not something banned to foreign lands and ancient times, but something we deal with on a regular basis within the confines of our own hearts. They can be simple things like people, houses, careers, shopping, or food; things that may have grown into idols simply by how much we desire them. Or, they can be the more obvious false gods like alcohol, drugs, or pornography. Regardless of our idols, they all take the place of God in our lives, something He is not keenly given to because of His great and jealous love for us.
March 26 - May 14, 2014

Just as the prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressures to compromise his faith, to live in a hostile culture, and to confront temptations and threats — today’s believers face many of the same trials. This study of the book of Daniel shows how individuals can live with integrity in today’s self-absorbed society.
