Serving in Christ

Find a place to serve Christ as you meet the needs of others.

Missions

olivebaptist.org/missions
Mission trip efforts extend the kingdom of God locally and around the world. Olive Baptist is planting churches in Ohio, New York, and California. We are taking the gospel to Mexico, Ghana, and other countries around the world. Follow Jesus’ command to take the gospel to every nation.

Music & Drama

olivebaptist.org/music
Like to sing, act, or play an instrument? There is a place for you in the Celebration choir, orchestra, handbells, or as a part of Olive’s drama troupe, the Panhandle Players.

Preschool

olivebaptist.org/preschool
Childcare is provided for the children of both members and guests for regularly scheduled church activities. Have some fun singing the ABC’s, reading Bible stories, or simply playing on the floor with the children. When you volunteer in this vital ministry, you are a part of the spiritual development of a child.

Awana

olivebaptist.org/awana
One of the most important elements of children’s Wednesday evening Awana program is scripture memorization. We need people to donate one hour each week to listen to children recite scripture.

Tutors for Elementary Students

hpearson@olivebaptist.org
Volunteers meet with kids from Ferry Pass Elementary School each week on their campus to help them with basic school instruction, such as math and reading. In the process, you are afforded the opportunity to serve as a positive role model and to pray for these students. For more information, contact Huey Pearson at 850.475.1109 or hpearson@olivebaptist.org.

Upward Sports

olivebaptist.org/recreation
Each year hundreds of children come to Olive for basketball, soccer and cheerleading. These teams are always in need of coaches and team parents to assist with sporting events.

Drivers

The ladies of the Charis house need volunteers to transport them to various appointments, work, and school.

Prayer Shawls

gmitten@olivebaptist.org
Women get together every second and fourth Friday of the month to knit and crochet prayer shawls. The ladies then pray over the recipients of these shawls before they are given to the sick, elderly, and shut-ins. For more information, contact Ginger Mitten at 850.475.3165 or gmitten@olivebaptist.org.

Piecemakers Quilt Club

gmitten@olivebaptist.org
The quilters meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays. They give away their quilts to sick children in the hospital, to ladies of the Charis house at their graduation, and send them as supplies for mission trips. For more information, contact Ginger Mitten at 850.475.3165 or gmitten@olivebaptist.org.

Greeters

olivebaptist.org/volunteer
When you step through the doors on Sunday morning, someone is always there to hand you a worship guide, shake your hand or give directions. It’s a simple way to serve by making everyone welcome.
