Tom and his wife, Nancy, have been members of Olive Baptist Church since 2000. They began serving together in the music ministry at Olive by playing in the orchestra. They have three young daughters: Alyssa, Sydney and Emily.
Tom joined the Ministerial staff at Olive as the Director of Instrumental Ministries and the School of Performing Arts in February of 2003. Prior to joining the Music Ministry at Olive, Tom was an experienced Band Director/Music Teacher for over 14 years in Maryland and Florida. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Salisbury State University in 1988. In 1994, he received his Master's Degree in Music Performance from Pensacola Christian College. He is a part-time member of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra.
His ministerial responsibilities include assisting the Minister of Music, directing and conducting the Celebration Orchestra, hand bell choir, and small instrumental ensembles, and overseeing the School of Performing Arts as the administrator.
Tom's desire is to teach and train instrumental musicians of all ages to use their talents and abilities to lead God's people, along side the Minister of Music, in worship where all can encounter the presence of God.
