Introduction to the Baptist College of Florida
The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) is a private, Level II institution (Commission on Colleges, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools), located in Graceville, Florida, 90 miles northwest of Tallahassee, 60 miles north of Panama City, and 25 miles south of Dothan, Alabama. BCF is owned and operated by the Florida Baptist Convention. It is the only institution of higher learning supported by the Florida Baptist Convention.
BCF, founded by a group of pastors on September 7, 1943 and in the almost seventy years of training people for ministry it has undergone many changes. Over the years the campus and facilities have expanded greatly and currently BCF has accredited off-site campuses in Jacksonville, Orlando, and Pensacola. Today, under the leadership of Dr. Tom Kinchen, the school has flourished and is training more people for ministry and offering more courses and degree programs than ever before. BCF is a shining star for Florida Baptists. Even if you are not a potential student it would be worth your while to take exit 120 on I-10 and drive just a few miles North to Graceville and see how God is using Florida Baptists and to see the tremendous gift that He has given us in the Baptist College of Florida.
Mission Statement
The Baptist College of Florida shall operate within the context of a Christian worldview to promote, provide for, operate and control a program of education and training for ministers and other religious workers through awarding certificates and associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degrees in a co-educational post secondary setting.
