Minister of High School

Olive Baptist Church exists to develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Principle Function
The Minister of High School is responsible for organizing, planning, conducting and evaluating comprehensive education and discipleship programs for and providing leadership to high school students and volunteers.
Principle Accountabilities
Direct high school connection groups with the guidance of the Minister of Education
Oversee and teach Wednesday night high school worship
Assemble leadership team for each program - recruiting, equipping, and evaluating all volunteers for high school
Plan and implement local evangelistic opportunities for the high school ministry
Discover, develop, and deploy student leaders in the ministry
Provide spiritual counsel for students, their parents, and volunteers in the student ministry
Plan and oversee Mission Trips with the Missions Office
Plan special events and activities that edify the overall educational plan for students (camps, retreats, Discipleship Now, etc.)
Adhere to church approved guidelines as set forth in the OBC Bylaws and Policies and Procedures Manual
Make hospital visits to members/family of members of the high school ministry
Coordinate the calendar of activities for the high school ministry
Prepare, submit for approval, and administer church budget expenditures for the high school ministry
Be available for the spiritual needs of the community
Report repair and maintenance needs of the high school facility to appropriate personnel
Coordinate and cooperate in ministry with Minister of Middle School
Maintain professional growth through continued education conferences or courses that assist the overall job description
Remain current on educational methods and trends pertinent to evangelizing and discipling high schoolers
Equip associates, residents, and interns who are called into the ministry
Maintain a presence in the local schools
Preach and teach as assigned

Desired Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Theology (or equivalent hours) preferred
5+ years’ experience in full-time student ministry preferred
Oversee a student ministry of 100+ (either 6th-12th grade or only 9th through 12th grade)

Children’s Special Needs Worker
Basic Function:
Responsible for providing a safe, healthy, and loving environment for students with special needs.
Working Relationships:
Reports to: Director of Special Needs Ministry
Works beside: Children’s ministry staff and all OBC personnel
Basic Responsibilities:
Meet the spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of special needs students
Share biblical truths with special needs students
Love and minister to parents of special needs students
Principal Accountabilities:
Help provide and maintain a Christian environment in which the students may grow physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and spiritually
Follow the policies and procedures of Olive Baptist Church
Be polite, friendly, and courteous and seek to develop good trusting relationships with all students, parents, and volunteers

Graphic Designer & Content Creator

The Graphic Designer & Content Creator is responsible for visual content creation including graphics, photography, and video relating to the various programs, events, and functions for the ministries of Olive Baptist Church. The position entail both print and digital media content creation.
Principle Accountabilities:
Content Creation
• Design visual concepts and finished media using creative tools including design software (Adobe Creative Cloud)
• Translate client needs and branding strategies into design and content strategies.
• Select colors, fonts, photographs, layouts, videos, animations and other design elements to communicate creative concepts through the use of high-quality visual design.
• Adhere to industry standards and visual design and media standards as set by the Director of Marketing.
• Set goals for personal growth in design skillsets and continue to improve visual communication strategies across all forms of design, promotion, and communication at Olive Baptist Church.
Printing and Exporting
• Support the use/management of the Print Shop alongside other team members including: printing, cutting, paper ordering, cleaning, equipment use/maintenance, organization, and supply tracking.
• Print various materials for use across various departments while maintaining the latest print standards for quality.
• Export digital files for use across various types and formats while maintaining the latest standards for quality.
Marketing
• Aid in the creation of event promotional materials for various events across the church and its ministries.
• Understand the basics of creatively writing for marketing copy and/or possesses a strong understanding of the English language with the ability to write for business.
• Create, communicate, and implement creative strategies to promote events and programs throughout the church and the community to various audiences.
• Maintain, discuss, and review after action reports for events in order to improve the church’s approach to promotions and marketing.
• Assess needs for campaigns and assign or produce content to accomplish the goals of the campaign and communicate its purpose.
Collaboration
• Promote positive culture and on-brand decision making within the entire ministry.
• Collaborate with the Director of Communications, Director of Marketing, Project Manager, and other content creators to create high-quality media.
• Articulate and pitch design concepts to directors, managers, and ministry leaders.
• Work to assist and improve the Communications Department through well-coordinated teamwork and communications with the team and leaders.
• Attend weekly team meetings in order to help organize and focus efforts on key objectives.
• Attend select planning and brainstorming meetings to help advise leaders on the appropriate design standards, trends, and function of media relating to various events, programs, promotions, and objectives.
• Assist in the management of various projects and requests from leaders through the project management system currently in use (ClickUp).
Brand Development and Protection
• Study and put into practice the brand guidelines as put forth by the communications team in order to ensure that all media created is cohesive with Olive’s brand identity.
• Work closely with the Director of Marketing and the Communications Team to develop and build upon the branding for Olive Baptist Church and it’s ministries.
• Follow the quality and design standards as put forth by the Director of Marketing in order to build ministry brands that are cohesive and work together with Olive’s parent brand identity.
Desired Qualifications
The desired candidate should possess at least 1+ year of experience in Content Creation and
one of the following:
• Associate Degree in Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, or a similar field.
• a portfolio of work showing proficiency with the basic aspects of design, video, photography, etc.
All candidates must submit a portfolio of work.
Essential Competencies
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud programs including: Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premier Pro, and After Effects.
• Understand the basic foundations of design, marketing, and photography/videography.
• Competency in the correct use of camera gear, equipment, video production, and lighting is a plus.
• Able to efficiently manage time and prioritize projects on a case-by-case basis.
• Capable of organizing and regularly updating and communicating the status of projects and requests to supervisors and leaders.

Team Sports Associate
Mission/Objective:
The mission of the Team Sports Associate, or TSA, is to assist the Team Sports Coordinator in running sports ministries to develop fully devoted followers of Christ. In order to have success as the Team Sports Associate an individual must be effective in the following areas:
Discipleship
Create an environment where coaches can disciple coaches, and coaches can disciple kids.
Evangelism
Have a heart for sharing the truth of the Gospel with the unchurched members of our community who join our sports leagues.
Empowering Others
Give the members of Olive a platform in which they can apply what they learn, serve the Lord, and grow in their boldness for the gospel.
Operational Role
The Team Sports Associate’s primary role is to assist the Team Sports Coordinator in creating a gospel saturated league by clearly communicating vision with coaches, assisting parents with equipment needs in a loving manner, and supervising practices/devotion times that teams have on a weekly basis. In addition to supervising practice times, the Team Sports Associate is responsible for the upkeep of the baseball and soccer fields. The Team Sports Associate must also be willing to be flexible and assist the Team Sports Coordinator in other areas as different seasons in the ministry progress.
Evangelistic Role
While it is easy to see this as a “do” position working behind the scenes to make sure certain tasks are done, one should not overlook the huge ministry opportunity this position has. The Team Sports Associate is a primary point of contact for parents on practice nights as they may have questions about how the season will play out. While the TSA may always defer to the Team Sports Coordinator for answers, these interactions can play a crucial role in a parent’s experience with Olive as a whole. Many of these conversations can lead to gospel opportunities on a regular basis. There is no task too menial to glorify God in, and share the gospel through. Finally, a huge aspect of the evangelistic role of the Team Sports Associate is conducting Open Gym full court basketball. This provides an opportunity for regular face-to-face interactions with members of our community, who are often without Christ.
Primary Accountabilities of the Team Sports Associate
Maintaining the condition of playing fields for baseball
Lining fields for baseball and Soccer
Supervises practice nights
Provides coaches with necessary equipment based on season
Provides guidance to coaches as they minister to their teams
Assists in the organization and planning of leagues
Set up and tear down of sport facilities on game day
Assists in developing devotional content
Assists in communicating with parents and coaches as needed
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 80 pounds regularly
Physical ability to work around children including sitting, standing, running, and climbing stairs
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors
Spend time in both hot and cold weather conditions
Must be able to operate light machinery for field care

Music Faculty - Music Studios at Olive
Part Time: 5-18 hours per week
Principle Function:
Provide high-quality music instruction to students in the Music Studios at Olive
Principle Accountabilities
Teach weekly lessons to assigned students
Communicate with students and families of students regarding progress, needed materials, and
upcoming events
Attend end-of-semester recitals
Desired Qualifications
The candidate should have a degree in the field of music. Teaching experience is desired but not required. Teachers are encouraged to obtain membership in appropriate music teachers associations.

Housekeeping / Events Team Member
Part-Time

Preschool Childcare Worker

Early Learning Center Teaching Assistant 2 Year Olds

Ministry Village Early Learning Center is looking for people to join our endeavor to improve early childhood education in Escambia County. The Ministry Village ELC opened in Pensacola in November 2018 and has steadily grown. We are hiring teachers, assistants and substitutes on an ongoing basis. This position would assist the teacher in the 2 Year Old room on a full-time basis.
Our goal first is to instill Godly character into each child who attends our school. We will be using the Creative Curriculum and run our classrooms in play-based centers.
Our facility serves children 3 months to 4 years old. If you love working with children and are enthusiastic about early education, we would like you to consider joining our team as a teacher assistant in our toddler classrooms.
